Song: Queen

Download: queen.mp3 [ Size: ?, Length: ? ]

Notes:

I'm not sure exactly how this tune came into existence. It's just a random metal punk thing, and about 4/5 of the way through I accidentally dropped my drumsticks and just stopped playing. I recorded the guitars over the drums and just ended it there where I dropped my sticks.

Perhaps the most unique aspect of the song are the lyrics, which are 100% improvised on the spot. I was basically singing about my surroundings and the objects in front of me: a shelf full of snare drums, orange carpet used for acoustic dampening, some tape, etc. It's tough to hear what each word is but if you listen carefully it can be entertaining.

There is also a sped up version that you can listen to called Queen (fast).

Lyrics (bracketed lyrics are unknown or approximate)

Make your shoe shine so [you can't find bumper stick]
[your whopper so I write your essay for]
[your school is cap I get to] twist if off
Buy a mountain dew [unknown]

You're so pretty to me
You [can't buy anger you see]
And turn the light off to go
[Now] spin your horse around

Wear your shirt unbuttoned
My ring is not on
[unknown]
for me to listen to [pliers]
[in] a wrapper [put up strange]
your color-coded chart [unknown]

Put on your mountain goat for me
the [cream puffs] and the [unknown]
The picture by the fan
[unknown] by the speaker
the carpet is orange

My shirt is on the ground
My guitar's there too
The shelf is white
and it's full of snare drums
and a clock, and a board, and some tape
The liquor's gone but it's still in my tummy

Twist the cap off
[unknown]
