Kindohm
Since before 2008, the Kindohm moniker has been my musical and online identity for years. The Kindohm stuff generally consists of grungy, chunked-out rock and roll. In a way it's also a documented history of how I've learned to write and record music over the years. The best representation of the Kindohm works are the Basic and Sonar albums.
Albums and Collections
-
Basic
(2003)
Straight up rock. These tracks are from a mix of different recording locations, sessions, and instruments. Arguably the best. Get your head nod on.
-
Sonar
(2002)
Recorded at the old house in Crystal. These tunes sound pretty good considering the tools I was using at the time. Drums were only on one track, and no guitar amps were ever used (!)
-
Calle Fabio Rufino
(2005)
Recorded in the recording space at my house in Chaska while it was under construction (!). The CD featured the entire album in reverse as a 2nd set of tracks (not avaialable here).
-
Fury Stopper
(2004)
Recorded in the raw confines of the basement of my house in Chaska. The drums were completely surrounded by concrete walls when they were recorded, and it actually doesn't sound that bad!
-
OS
(2002)
The 2nd Kindohm CD, recorded at the Crystal house. This songwriting era generated a ridiculous number of tunes and experimental works. This album was mixed without the use of any effects.
-
Early Music and Clips
(1998)
Stuff from college. A 133 Mhz processor, a wave editing app, and a $5 microphone. Oh, and a drum machine too.
-
I Invented Plastic
(2001)
You could call this my first 'real' effort to produce something. I had barely any recording gear when I recorded it: a couple of Shure SM57's and Cakewalk Home Studio 9 software. That was it.
-
Remnants
This is a collection of everything that isn't categorized. Mostly one-off experiments gone horribly wrong or the beginnings of tunes that weren't even close to making it anywhere.
-
Electronica Remnants
This collection is a dumping ground for electronic-based tunes that I've completed but am not very fond of. I wanted them to have a home and make them available.
-
Failure Modes
(2000)
This is a collection of tunes that never made the cut for I Invented Plastic. Considering how rough Plastic is, that's saying something. The hit single Get On Your Knees and Bark Like a Dog can be found here.
-
OS Demos and B-Sides
(2002)
Here you can find all of the experimental and demo tracks I recorded leading up to the release of OS. There is a ton of material here. Created at the height of my experimenting and curiosity with recording.
-
Material Alternatives
(2000)
All of the experimenting and rehearsing I did for I Invented Plastic can be found here. These tracks are basically demos for that CD.
